Senior Project Manager, Education Development & International Cooperation ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Cooperation
A seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in international education. Vera Upirova currently serves as the Senior Project Manager for Educational Development and International Cooperation at ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Cooperation. Her expertise lies in the Human Resources Development projects for Rosatom partner countries and in fostering cross-university cooperation. Notably, she also serves as the coordinator of the IAEA Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowship Program, demonstrating her commitment to advancing education on a global scale.
She obtained her master’s degree in Linguistics from Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University in 1998, followed by a degree in Management from Krasnoyarsk State University in 2001. In her quest for perpetual learning, she has had the privilege to attend renowned institutions such as Columbia University Teachers’ College, where she was awarded the prestigious Fulbright scholarship in 2007. Additionally, in 2016, she participated in a professional development program in international education at Boston College/Catholic University of Milano.
Prior to her current role at ROSATOM, she held key positions including the Head of the Department for International Cooperation and Deputy Vice-Rector for International Cooperation. Vera's multifaceted expertise and dedication to enhancing educational cooperation make her an invaluable asset to the global education community.
