About the University

Saint Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine is one of Russia's most prestigious veterinary universities and the cradle of higher veterinary education in the country. Founded more than 200 years ago, the university combines a rich academic legacy with modern innovation, scientific research, and practical veterinary training.

Today, SPbSUVM is an advanced scientific and educational centre recognised in Russia and abroad for its contribution to veterinary medicine, biology, agriculture, biotechnology, food safety, and environmental protection. The university focuses on developing practical skills, research ability, and professional competence among students.

With more than 3,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students, four faculties, 22 departments, modern laboratories, and experimental facilities, SPbSUVM offers a strong academic environment.
