Established in 1920, the university bears the name of Alexey N. Kosygin, a prominent figure in Russian history and the Prime Minister of the Soviet Union from 1964 to 1981, noted for fostering strong diplomatic and economic ties with India. With a student body exceeding 10,400, including over 1,000 international students from 76 countries, the institution boasts a robust global presence.
