Mari State University

Established in 1972, Mari State University is a prominent educational and scientific hub in the Republic of Mari El and the Volga Federal District. Recognized as one of Russia's 33 flagship universities by the Ministry of Education and Science in 2017, MarSU boasts 9 faculties, 6 institutes, 55 departments, and approximately 9,000 students. Its distinguished faculty of 532 members, including 66 doctors of science and 37 professors, ensures high-quality education and research, solidifying MarSU's status as a center of education, science, and culture. In the 2019-2020 academic year, MarSU signed more than 20 cooperation agreements with partners at the all-Russian and international levels.
