Dating back to October 1, 1932, Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University began its pedagogical program for future teachers. The university is one of the leading higher education and research institutions in Russia. Today Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University is a single educational and scientific complex.

The university unites 10 faculties, 35 departments, a department for additional professions, an advanced training and professional retraining center, a center for languages and cultures, postgraduate and doctoral studies, a scientific library, a cultural center, and a sports and recreation camp, a public relations center and a television studio, training and production stations and many other complexes, departments, museums, laboratories and studios.

The university conducts academic programs in 5 educational buildings, all equipped with modern scientific and educational equipment. Over the span of ninety years, the university has trained over 60,000 graduates, ensuring a consistently high level of education. With a teaching staff exceeding 800 members, including over 50 professors and doctors of science, as well as 250 associate professors and candidates of science, many of whom have received state, departmental, or regional awards, the university maintains a commitment to excellence in education and research.
