Plekhanov Russian University of Economics is one of the leading universities in Russia with more than 115 years of history. 

The foundation of the university is inextricably linked with the historical development of our country. Entering the 20th century, Russia experienced rapid industrial growth. New enterprises needed qualified personnel – managers and economists. The university was created to train such specialists. Since 1924 the university has proudly named after Georgy Plekhanov, a famous Russian philosopher, Marxist, and genius of economic thought.

Today, Plekhanov University is the largest educational and scientific center for training of highly qualified specialists. We have 15 branches, including 4 abroad. More than 500 educational programs of all levels have been opened: from general secondary education to postgraduate and doctoral studies, including 128 Bachelor’s and Specialist’s programs and 85 Master’s programs.
