St. Petersburg State Transport University

Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University is the first engineering transport university in Russia. The University was founded in 1809 by a Manifesto of Emperor Alexander I. For two centuries, the University has graduated more than 100 thousand specialists who have shown themselves in the most diverse fields: engineering, science, socio-political activity, culture and art. Among the University graduates are ministers of railways, vice-governors of St. Petersburg, heads of major transportation, construction and industrial enterprises, world-known scientists, inventors and designers.
