Established in 1930, Kazan State Power Engineering University is a public institution located in Kazan. The university specializes in power engineering and welcomes students from diverse backgrounds and nationalities. Presently, it comprises Five institutes including the Institute of Thermal Power Engineering, the Institute of Economics and Information Technology, and the Institute of Electric Power and Electronics, etc., along with 30 departments and 3 dissertation councils.
With its own Research Institute of Energy Problems, the university is dedicated to addressing challenges in heat and electricity, electrical engineering and electronics, as well as environmental conservation and the efficient use of resources. Presently, the university hosts 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students from various regions of the Russian Federation, CIS countries, Asia, and Africa to study in 113 educational programs.
KSPEU collaborates with major Russian energy companies and it also cooperates with international companies for the production of energy equipment in the construction of training centers such as Siemens, IBM, Danfoss, and Schneider Electric, ensuring high employability rates for graduates, currently at 93%. As a member of prominent industrial, scientific, and educational consortia, KSPEU continues to excel in shaping the future of power engineering education and research.
